Most of what we fix on TechLila, a reader found first: a step that no longer matches the menu, a price that changed last week, a download link that now leads somewhere else. This page explains what to send us, what we do with it and how long it takes. Errors in particular follow our Corrections Policy.
What we want to hear about
- A step that fails on your version of Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iOS.
- A price, plan, limit or figure that no longer matches the maker’s own page.
- A broken, redirected or unsafe download link.
- A claim that its cited source does not support.
- A product that belongs in a list or should leave it, with your reason.
- A conflict of interest you think we did not disclose.
- Anything that makes a page hard to read or use, including on a phone or with a screen reader.
How to reach us
Use the form on our contact page or write to admin@techlila.com. For help with a problem on your own device, leave a comment on the article instead: other readers often have the same question, and the answer helps them too.
A report is fastest to check when it includes:
- The article’s address.
- The sentence, step or number you mean.
- What you found instead, with a link to the source if there is one.
- For a failed step, your operating system or app version and any error message.
What happens next
We read every message and aim to reply within three days. An editor checks the report against the source the article cites and against the maker’s current documentation, and re-runs the step on the named version whenever we can. Reports about wrong steps or figures go first, because someone may be following that article right now.
What we may change
- Correction: the article was wrong, so we fix it and add a dated note at the end.
- Clarification: the article was right but easy to misread, so we rewrite the sentence.
- Update: a new version or newer data changed the answer, so we replace that part and the article shows its new date.
- Small fix: typos and broken links are fixed without a note.
- No change: when the article holds up, we reply and explain why.
If you disagree
Reply to our message with your evidence, and we will look at it again.
