TechLila readers act on what we publish. They change a setting, install an app or pay for a subscription because an article told them it was worth it. This policy sets out the rules our writers and editors follow so that advice stays ours, earned from evidence and free of anyone else’s interest. How we choose and source articles is in our Editorial Policy, and how we check them is in our Fact-Check Policy.
Money and independence
TechLila earns money from advertising and from affiliate links. An affiliate commission never decides whether a product appears in an article, where it ranks or what we say about it. Every recommendation names its reasons. You can weigh them yourself. Our disclaimer page explains how affiliate links work and how to recognize them.
Conflicts of interest
A writer does not cover a company they work for, advise or hold a stake in, and does not review a product they helped build. If a past connection could look like a conflict, the writer tells the editor before writing. The editor then decides who takes the article.
AI tools
We use AI tools to help research, draft, structure and check articles. A person chooses every topic, a named author is responsible for every article, and a named reviewer reads it before it goes live. The reviewer, not the tool, decides what TechLila says. Nothing publishes itself. The checks AI tools run on our drafts are described in our Fact-Check Policy.
Credit and original work
When another publication reports something first, we name it and link to its story, then cite the underlying document as well. We do not copy other writers’ articles, rewrite them as our own or reuse their screenshots without permission. Images of a game, app or device inside an article are credited to their owner. The featured image at the top of an article is made for TechLila and never reuses someone else’s artwork.
Fair treatment of products
We test and describe the version a reader can get today, and we say which version that is. We never invent scores. When a product has a serious flaw, we say so. That holds even when we link to it.
Comments
Comments are open so readers can ask questions and help each other. We remove spam, abuse, personal attacks, other people’s private information and links that exist only to sell something. Disagreement is welcome. A comment that shows we got something wrong goes through our Corrections Policy.
Raising a concern
If you think an article breaks this policy, or a writer has a conflict we did not disclose, tell us through the contact page or write to admin@techlila.com. We look into every report. Our Reader Feedback Policy explains what happens next.
