Let’s say that you want to get the five most popular apps from the entire Setapp collection. Let’s take the case of Ulysses, CleanMyMac, CleanShot X, BusyCalendar, and Bartender.

Buying that set outright costs roughly $171 in the first year: $39.99 for Ulysses, $39.96 for CleanMyMac on its cheapest annual plan, $29 for CleanShot X, $49.99 for BusyCal, and $12 for Bartender 6. Two of the five keep billing after that, so Ulysses and CleanMyMac together run about $80 a year. Bartender and BusyCal charge again when a major version lands.
