Truth be told, PC is the best platform for gaming. Whether it’s for esports or even graphics fidelity and multiplayer experiences, the PC gaming experience is second to none. Even though PC gaming is simple and easier, it’s more complex than console gaming. For me, tips by Battlelog.co were handy in kick-starting my PC gaming journey. This was so especially in matters of which hardware to choose from, how to increase performance and various tricks for better gaming.

I’m a strong believer in the adage ‘a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.’ I hereby purpose to share all tricks and hacks that can help you get better at PC gaming. Whether you just received a new gaming PC or an experienced PC gamer who is wondering if you could have missed something along the journey, you are at the right place.

This write-up has tips and tricks that will help every PC gamer get better and experience games the way they were meant to be played. Ready for the ride! Read on.

How to Get Better at PC Gaming

1. Turn down the music and wear headphones

What many players don’t realize is that playing music during a PC game somehow distracts their focus and concentration on the game. It gets worse if you’re playing your music.

When you have the option to mix sound levels, turn them up. These highly help increase your reflex. It’s also good to wear good headphones since they help deter distractions from noise in your surrounding thus greater focus level.

2. Make the Screen Brighter

Most games come with few dark colors for greater contrast. This largely creates some unique mood and style but unfortunately, it doesn’t allow you to see your opponent before they see you, especially in an FPS game. Therefore, make the screen brighter to be able to see easily.

3. Customize the Controls to Perfection

If a game allows you to customize the layout and sensitivity of the controls, do it, no matter the urge to rush into the game. Going through the various options and refining them can have a great improvement in your performance.

4. Get A More Comfortable Mouse or Controller

Don’t just stick with that mouse that came in the box, try out other alternatives and you’ll be amazed at how more comfortable they will be. Comfort will translate to a better play.

5. Watch Videos of Experts Playing

Streaming videos of PC gamers can help you get better. You don’t only see how to react to certain situations but also get to learn various strategies you never thought about before.

6. Don’t Be Afraid to Play with People Better Than You

Always playing PC games with people of the same or worse skill level just holds you back. You may feel good after winning multiple tries but may never get better. When you play with players who are better than you, you get to learn more about how to improve your skills and strategies.

7. Be Keen on Your Body’s Signals

Before a PC game, ensure you eat well. Staying hungry will lower your performance. Don’t be like those gamers who play for hours forgetting to eat or even use the bathroom.

8. Practicing Regularly

Despite how hard it might seem to master a game, playing it regularly will improve your skills and reaction time require to become a pro. Adopt a competitive game mode and track your progress. Take breaks to avoid burnouts and causing harm to your body.

9. Researching to Improve

Today, the internet is full of other players who are working to get better at PC gaming. Find an online community that posts guides, tips, and hacks for your area of interest and soak up their resources.

10. Be Patient and Don’t Lose Hope

Sometimes a PC game can prove too difficult until you feel tempted to throw your Controller at the Wall. Sadly, this lessens your chances of beating that hard level. Instead of giving up and getting to such a point of madness, take a break and ensure your body calms down.

After the break, try a different level than you were good at first. There are very high chances that when you reach that ‘difficult’ level you’ll perform better. Sometimes this might require more breaks including taking a full break from the game, do it. This will allow your brain to develop a muscle memory that you’ll need to win that level

Final Thoughts…

When it’s all said and done, frequent practice is ultimately the sure way to get better at PC gaming. Follow the above tips first then hunt for some more tips and tricks specific to your favorite PC game. Within no time, you will be garnering loads of wins before you can remember it’s high noon.
